Supervision

Supervision is a profoundly important but often overlooked area of professional development for Registered Dietitians. Particularly for new dietitians or those of us who work in emotionally intense settings, supervision can help you build confidence in your skills, feel less alone as a provider, accelerate your growth as a clinician, allow you to deep dive into the areas of practice you feel most passionate about, and prevent burnout. Supervision offers guidance, mentorship, and the chance to learn from your supervisor’s mistakes so you don’t have to make them yourself!

I am an iaedp-approved supervisor and can help you accrue hours if you are working toward your Certified Eating Disorders Specialist credential. Additionally, as your supervisor I will help you complete your application, review your case study with you, and help you prepare for the credentialing exam. I have a small library of the required texts for the iaedp Core Courses, which you are welcome to use if you are in the Dallas area.

The practice areas I specialize in include eating disorders and disordered eating, substance use disorders, and vegetarian nutrition. I place great emphasis on trauma-informed and inclusive care as well as the importance of self-care and boundary setting for clinicians. If you would like to work with me, please reach out and let’s explore whether we would be a good fit.
